He remembers his first love... a "Misty Love"

BOY MEETS GIRL, THEY FALL IN LOVE, THEY MAKE WINE, THEY WIN GOLD MEDALS FOR IT... THE REST IS HISTORY.

IN 1994 THESE TWO MET. IN 1998 THEY WERE MARRIED AND HONEYMOONED IN SAN FRANCISCO, NAPA VALLEY & SONOMA'S WINE COUNTRY AND THEN LATER BACKPACKING IN EUROPE AND SEEING AND TASTING SUCH DIVERSITY, IT MADE THEM FALL IN LOVE AGAIN, WITH WINE.

FIRST THERE WAS "VALLEY VIEW CELLARS"

...IT ALL STARTED WHEN WE BEGAN MAKING WINE IN OUR ROOT CELLAR IN 1999... EVENTUALLY IN 2008 WE FINALLY HAD A WINE CELLAR IN OUR BASEMENT AND BEGAN SOURCING FINE GRAPES AND OAK BARRELS TO MAKE OUR FAVORITE WINES...

...WE ALWAYS DREAMT ABOUT OPENING AN URBAN WINERY, AND FINALLY WE ASKED OURSELVES,

...WE KEPT THINKING OF ALL OF THE REASONS WE SHOULD START THIS AMAZING ADVENTURE AND WE REALIZED THAT THE MOST IMPORTANT REASON WAS RIGHT IN FRONT OF US...

...oUR SONS & FUTURE WINE MAKERS, ZOAN ASHER & JUDE ROWAN, THE WINERY NAMESAKES, WORKING HANDS ON AND HARVESTING GRAPES.

WE ARE A SMALL FAMILY RUN BUSINESS AND HAVE BEEN WORKING WITH GREAT HAPPINESS THE PAST YEAR TO CREATE OUR R.A.W. WINES AND HARD CIDERS. IT REQUIRES EVERY RESOURCE WE HAVE, COMMUNITY SUPPORT, HELP FROM FAMILY AND FRIENDS AND LOTS OF LATE NIGHTS TO MAKE "THE BEST WINES IN THE POCONOS"

OUR GOAL IS TO BRING A SOURCE OF REVENUE TO THE COMMUNITY, AS WELL AS SUPPORT OUR FAVORITE PASTIME... BACKPACKING AND HIKING. WE ARE AT THE FOOTHILLS OF THE APPALACHIAN TRAIL AND HAVE BEEN SOURCING SUSTAINABLE AND REUSABLE GOODS TO CREATE OUR TASTING BAR AND DECOR. THERE IS BOUNTY ALL AROUND US WITH OUT DESTROYING OUR NATURAL RESOURCES.

We are looking to increase production and open our unique cozy tasting room and outdoor patio to share the best Wines and Hard Ciders with you. Pennsylvania is the 4th largest apple producing state in the USA and we are supporting our local farmers by using local, PA grown apples and global & local grapes, local foraged flowers, herb and berries to create a wide array of vintages and gluten free ciders for you. We are looking into planting our own cider apple orchard on the property and use sustainable farming to grow them.

We are looking for those who share the same strong values that we do in supporting local artisan handcrafted wine makers and hard cider brewers and supporting hardworking local businesses and also by being earth friendly in their use of local re-purposed and recycled goods and reclaimed wood from old torn down barns in our area.

2020 UPDATE…

On Tuesday Aug 4th 2020 after being closed for months due to Covid 19 our small family business’s Winery Warehouse at 103 Gypsum Rd. Stroudsburg was devastated by a flash flood due to Hurricane Isaias. The mud, debris and rushing waters severely hurt our business, resulting in loss of wine, hard cider, commercial equipment and furniture. The loss was not covered by our insurance due to its external nature. This caused us financial loss, but we are fully functional at out Tasting Room at 616 Main St. Stroudsburg. We would love to meet you. We are showing our sons how to keep our chins up and pick up the pieces and work harder to survive this…
